JOEY JORDISON Says SLIPKNOT Will 'Absolutely' Record New Studio Album
July 20, 2010Drummer Joey Jordison (SLIPKNOT, MURDERDOLLS, ROB ZOMBIE) was interviewed by Fuse TV's Mistress Juliya at a recent stop on the Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival. Watch the chat below.
When asked if there will be another SLIPKNOT record coming in the not-too-distant future following the recent passing of the band's bassist, Paul Gray, Jordison said, "Absolutely. I just wanna thank all the fans for their support on my loss. But there will be another record for sure."
Jordison made his live debut as a member of Rob Zombie's touring band on April 8 at the Revolver Golden Gods Awards at Club Nokia in downtown Los Angeles.
Joey sat behind the kit for the "Gruesome Twosome" tour, which featured Zombie along with his longtime pal, Alice Cooper.
Rob Zombie headed into the studio earlier this month to record four new songs with his touring band, which includes Jordison. Zombie wrote that the new material is "some of the fastest and heaviest tracks we have recorded in a long, long time." The new music will be available in September, although Zombie did not say how it will be released.
